SUPERVISOR: Transportation Supervisor                DAILY HOURS: Varies, Monday - Thursday

SALARY RANGE: Classified, Level 1                       WEEKLY HOURS: Varies

STATUS:  Non Exempt/At Will

 OVERVIEW

To aide in the transport of students over scheduled routes and/or to and from special excursions and ensuring safety of students during transport, loading and unloading from buses and to provide support for the Nadaburg Unified School District and NUSD Governing Board. 

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma, General Education Degree (GED) and Finger Print Clearance card required. 

General Duties:

 Responsibilities should include, but not be limited to, the following: 

1. Aide in the transport of students safely to and from school, on field trips, and to and from other special events.
2. Advises students and other passengers of behavior requirements for the purpose of enforcing rules and regulations and maintaining safety.
3. Assists students and other passengers for the purpose of providing safe ingress and egress from buses including both emergency situations (including bus evacuations) and normal transport.
4. Has knowledge of first aid procedures and administers if required.
5. Attends meetings, training, etc. for the purpose of maintaining skills.
6. Reports, in writing, student misconduct.
7. Assumes responsibility for the safety of all children while they are under the driver’s supervision.
8. Displays the ability to work with a variety of students with specific learning disabilities including developmentally delayed, emotional disabilities, autistic, and non-verbal students.
9. Maintains a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students.
10. Performs additional duties as assigned
