JOB TITLE: Food Service Helper                  EMPLOYMENT TERM: Academic SY 

SUPERVISOR: Food Service Director             DAILY HOURS: Varies, Monday - Friday

SALARY RANGE: Classified, Level I               WEEKLY HOURS: Varies 

STATUS:  Non Exempt/At Will 

                                                               

 

 OVERVIEW 

 

You will be packing the (dinner) super snacks for the afterschool programs. This position will be only 5 hours a day and Friday will not be every Friday only if needed.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

1. High school diploma or GED required.  
2. Must have or be able to obtain a Maricopa County food handler’s card and a Serve Safe certificate.  
3. Experience in food service, preferred. 
4. Must be able to obtain an AZ Department of Public Safety Clearance Card. 

   

General Duties: 

 

Responsibilities should include, but not be limited to, the following: 

1. Assisting in the preparation and serving of meals. 
2. Washing trays, pans, utensils, etc. 
3. Cleaning kitchen and cafeteria after meals. 
4. Emptying trash containers. 
5. Operating the AccuScan register during meal times, including cash and ticket sales. Balancing daily register tapes with cash receipts. 
6. Performing other duties as requested by the Food Service Director/Administration and within the scope of this job description.
