JOB SUMMARY
Nadaburg Unified School District is seeking a qualified and motivated Site Supervisor to lead our Community Education programs, including Preschool and Before/After School Care. This position is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with Arizona Department of Health Services (DHS) Child Care Licensing, and maintaining high-quality programming aligned with Quality First standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Leadership & Operations
- Oversee daily operations of preschool and school-age programs.
- Ensure compliance with DHS licensing requirements, including staff-to-child ratios and supervision.
- Maintain accurate records (attendance, incident reports, emergency information).
- Ensure classrooms and playgrounds are safe, clean, and well-equipped.
Staff Supervision
- Supervise, train and support site staff.
- Create and manage staff schedules to ensure proper coverage.
- Maintain required staff-to-child ratios at all times.
- Provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Ensure all staff meet DHS requirements (Fingerprint Clearance Card, required trainings, etc.).
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure full compliance with DHS Child Care Licensing requirements.
- Maintain health and safety procedures, including emergency preparedness.
- Monitor and document incidents and ensure proper reporting.
Family & Community Engagement
- Serve as the primary contact for families.
- Communicate program information, expectations, and updates.
- Build positive relationships with school and district staff.
Quality First Alignment
- Implement developmentally appropriate practices.
- Support continuous program involvement.
- Ensure engaging, high-quality classroom environments.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
- Minimum of (1) year of experience in a licensed child care setting.
- Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- CPR/First Aide Certification (or ability to obtain prior to starting).
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Experience in both preschool and school-age programs.
- Knowledge of Arizona DHS licensing and Quality First standards.
